CASE is proud to partner with Key2Ed to bring all educators in special education the opportunity to participate in IEP Facilitation Training. Communication and engagement of all participants in the IEP meeting is key and sometimes difficult when in stressful or new situations. The concepts taught in this workshop around shared responsibility and shared understanding promote the skills needed for a successful IEP team meeting. Conflict Prevention and Resolution through IEP Meeting Facilitation 
The Key2Ed workshop that started it all! This training prepares participants to successfully conduct effective IEP meetings.
 
The class is designed to teach a process to enable teams to collaborate effectively while preventing and managing conflict. This ensures that the meeting content and process stays focused on the needs of the student.
 
Participants practice facilitation tools and techniques in actual simulations where trainers provide feedback and coaching in a safe learning environment. This way facilitators are prepared to implement the skills they’ve just learned the very next day.

NEW: Empowering Student Voice in the IEP Meeting
This training provides educators practical tools and techniques in how to educate the student about the IEP meeting process, how to prepare for their meeting, as well as, how to increase their participation during the meeting. The workshop is designed to empower the student’s voice during the IEP meeting through self-advocacy skills and productive communication techniques. Participants will be prepared to deploy skills learned and practiced through the training the very next day.
