Myrna Mandlawitz is a vital force behind CASE's advocacy efforts, serving as a dedicated legislative consultant in Washington, D.C. Myrna has extensive expertise in special education policy and federal legislation, and tirelessly champions the needs of students with disabilities, special education leaders, and school systems on Capitol Hill. As CASE’s unified voice in the nation’s capital, Myrna ensures that key decision-makers understand the impact of policies on special education. She also provides timely and insightful updates to CASE members, empowering them to stay informed and engaged in shaping an equitable and inclusive educational landscape.

Myrna Mandlawitz is President of MRM Associates, LLC and has worked in Washington D.C. for more than 30 years as a consultant and lobbyist on special and general education policy and legislation. She is a former president of the Committee for Education Funding (CEF), a coalition for over 100 national organizations focused on increasing the federal investment in education, and served for 12 years as co-chair of the National Alliance of Specialized Instructional Support Personnel. 

As a native of Virginia, Myrna holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston University, and a Law Degree from Temple University.
